Shipping
We ship via USPS, usually within 24 hours except weekends & holidays.
We do not currently send an email when we ship first class orders unless you have included a note in the special instructions about the urgency of your socks. We will have full tracking with customer log-ins by fall 2008.
US shipping
All US orders have tracking & confirmation (please see note above). When placing your order online you will find shipping options at the top of the page after you enter your shipping information.
Please keep in mind that these are estimated times and start from the day we ship the order, not the day you place it.
We do not require a signature for most order unless you select it for $2. However, a signature will be required on orders $100 & up and those sent to businesses & schools.
- First class US shipping: 5-10 days.
Free for orders placed online & shipped to US addresses.
Orders placed by phone are charged $5 for shipping & handling.
- Signature confirmation: gladly added for $2
- Priority: + $5 takes 3-4 business days. $7 for phone orders.
Orders $40 & up qualify for a free upgrade to priority shipping.
- 2 day Express: + $22 guaranteed delivery within two days of shipment. Includes insurance.
For people in the US we highly recommend that you upgrade to 2 day express if you absolutely positively need it by a certain day that is less than a week away. Also, please consider requiring a signature as mail theft is common in many areas. Although we send everything out with tracking & confirmation, once the mail carrier leaves it at your door we will not be there guarding it til you get home & cannot be held responsible for items tracking shows as delivered if you did not select signature confirmation.
International shipping
We ship internationally to most countries* 5 days a week via US Postal Services.
In an effort to minimize lost shipments we now require all orders $50 and up to ship via USPS International Priority or Express.
Orders shipped internationally must be paid via Paypal and will be shipped via US Postal Services. When ordering online our system calculates shipping based on the weight of the items you order and the location they are being sent to, plus a small handling fee. You need to enter your ship to info then click next to see your shipping options and prices. Please include any extra address info, such as your province, in the line below country.
International shipping times are as follows:
- International First Class (10-21 days) No Tracking available.
- International Priority (5-7 days) Tracking included.
- International Express (4-6 days) Tracking included.
Remember, these are only the time-frame the US Postal Service will generally get the package to your country, NOT the amount of time it takes for your package to get through customs. it can sometimes take weeks for customs to release a package, it all depends on what country you live in.
Please allow up to 48 hours from the time we send your tracking number to you til the tracking system updates and starts tracking your package.
We do not guarantee timely arrivals of international orders, please order internationally at your own risk.
- Customs: Once the package gets to your country customs will analyze it, determine if there are duties due* (this is completely out of our hands), then pass it on to your local postal unit.
- International delivery times: can vary greatly.
*Your country may collect dues upon reciept, this is completely out of our hands. Please contact your local post for more information.
We list estimated cost of goods enclosed on the forms we attach, please do not ask us to lie about the value.
*Due to delivery issues we have stopped shipping to the following countries:
Brazil, Indonesia, Nigeria, Philippines, Qatar, Romania & Russia.
We ship discretely in plain packages.
The return address shows our company name as Sock Dreams.
No credit card information appears on the invoices.
